University of Michigan Ann Arbor Early Action Fall 2024

later…

how much later lol. is it mailed or emailed? COA is extremely high but I love the school. won’t be able to attend without aid. filled out the NPC and they won’t give me any aid. do I have any other options?

I agree - all three of my boys went to UMich - one is still there. It seems to get more and more competitive every year.

Congrats to those accepted!!!

To those postponed/ deferred just hang on. Many get accepted in the next phase in RD.

You are only compared to your current school so don’t let the results skew that.

There will be a LOCI or additional information like mid-term grades that they might want to see for acceptance. Give them what they ask for and nothing more. Following instructions is part of this.

Many also will move on and good luck on your acceptances elsewhere.

For those staying there will be more information about RD and questions answered. I believe there is a RD thread up and the students that applied for Feb 1st will also be on that thread.
Again, many get accepted later on and many decide they can’t afford the school.
Don’t go into debt for any school if you don’t have to.

Good Luck to everyone and Go Blue!

+1 here with same stats incl a 33 ACT. IB diploma candidate as well. OOS. :woman_shrugging:t3:

He has lots of out side box honors - considering he is a math and Science kid. He has won several essay awards … including AP Language Arts student of the year Junior year and has won Best and Brightest for Language Arts ( a county wide award ) this year. As well as Leader of the Pack award for outstanding student leader . He also held positions in two separate clubs he has been involved in while in school all four years Awarded small town and rural town award from college board and is a peer Tutor for them for the SAT . Volunteered as a counselor for summer camp and their winter camp for the past 4 years.

It is what it is — :woman_shrugging: He will definitely keep his name in the hat so to speak and he literally could not have done anything more - He runs 50 miles a week all year for xc and track so literally could not squeeze out another hour in the day . He loved his visit to Michigan and hopes it comes true so now we wait again.

this is really impressive achievement. I can’t believe the results. But I am sure he will be in a better school.

How do you submit a mid-year report? The LOCI form only asks for writing.

They only might want that then… My sons school sent mid term grades to all schools. You contact your school /counselor to send them. It’s in the information in the link.

You can talk with admissions to ask also.

That’s what I was thinking. I just wanted other input. Do you think it’s bad that they don’t want to see my mid year report?

Nothing is bad or good. It is what it is. You have the option to send in the grades. Read the link.
