After accepted set up the wolverine access account. The friend account will only get u so far. You’ll need a parent or student wolverine access account. Its accessible after admission on each students admission portal. Then all the tabs for financial aid and creating a scholarship profile will b accessible. LSA has an essay and questions for scholarship that is good for 4yrs. It’s super competitive and has two diff deadlines one early and one later. There are other scholarships that they can apply to, as well. Good Luck

Do you know when financial aid or merit stuff will be out from UMICH?

OOS postponed
LSA
3.97
TO
Double legacy + sibling

Buckling in for the long wait for RD…

T b honest ours came in feb via an email to ck finacial aid status but it is rolling. This maybe helpful

Okay thank you sm!

Call financial aid but like Mid February to early March. Think there was a delay this year with Fasfa

To early to get the information

They’re all thrown into the RD pool. Michigan has not published % of EA postponed to accepted/rejected stats previously.

Question for those in the know. You can apply and get accepted to Engineering, and now be waiting for a CS decision. I’m wondering though whether, if you are ‘denied’ CS, you can nonetheless major in CS-Eng?

This page seems to indicate that you can. I guess I’m wondering whether this actually happens? I ask because I know at some schools it’s technically the case, but practically speaking it never really happens because there’s no space or whatever.

Accepted LSA
OOS (CO)
large public school with multiple U of M accepted every year
3.9 UW, 9AP
36 ACT
excellent EC, including arts and athletics with captain/leadership

Good luck to everyone in RD, looks like lots of phenomenal kids who were deferred and will get in here or some other excellent school. Thank you for all the great information on this forum.

Does Michigan publish the numbers for numbers applied/accepted/deferred/rejected?

Eventually, they’ll publish this info in the Common Data Set.

Before that, they’ll publish a news release with some admissions info in the Fall when the class arrives on campus.

You can check the common data set for Michigan section c it should have some of that information

Does anyone know how to find their Uniqname to access Wolverine access??

https://documentation.its.umich.edu/node/672

Ah ok thanks. It’s weird and disappointing too bc the “Enrolled Discoverer” pathway requirements described here seem like a pretty low bar for consideration, and yet it also says “Students who previously applied for advance selection into CS as first year students and were not selected may not apply to the major as Enrolled Discoverers.”

(It also says that it’s subject to space anyway, so in practice probably not a likely path for anyone).

So in order to have a uniq name to go into wolverine access i have to accept my offer of admission? im trying to figure out if theres scholarships i can do to afford umich as an oos student:sweat_smile::sweat_smile: can i use a friend account to access scholarships??
