University of Michigan Class of 2028 Official RD Thread

I went and checked the Class of 2027 RD thread from last year. They didn’t seem to have the portal go down for RD las spring. Someone posted the following last year on that thread:

We’ve had a string of decisions come out on spring break (7 so far, UM would be #8). I do not recommend it.

What was said?

she said this question has been asked a lot and she thinks the decisions will come out early April. But she’s also just a freshman student who I think was just going off what Admissions has always said.

is anyone’s withdrawal button still there?

Yes - but d24 is a double degree candidate so already has admittance for SMTD; withdraw button is still on her LSA part of the site

thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

Ah, yeah, but she is just parroting what the admissions website says. This is not astrology or certainty of any kind. I thought you meant it was an official Admissions posting, not a student “instagram takeover”.

Yes. Deferred from EA to RD.

Agreed - but it is on the Michigan Admissions story. I’m with others thinking the decisions will be released tomorrow.

last year they posted apparently at 5 pm Central on 3/31, which was the last Friday of the month. https://www.collegeconfidential.com/colleges/university-of-michigan/admissions/
@knowsstuff says it will be at 3 pm EST, but not sure where that time comes from? @knowsstuff?

pretty sure last year RD was around 3:30 ET

But the portal changed color this week, similar to ea week.

Good catch. Did the portal return to blue after EA? I don’t see my son’s portal very often so I had assumed it had stayed dark gray.

Yep I think the Monday before, same as this week

does the admissions portal godown during Rd or is that just an EA thing?

Any chance for umich for this student with 4.0 unweighted gpa 6 AP,14 honors classes valedictorian of his class with 1500 as a RD applicant.

I think it might be a EA thing based on what I’ve seen here + Reddit. I really hope decisions are out tomorrow because after a disappointing Ivy Day, UMich might be my last hope
