@momwith2b can you expand about the interview, please? Is this required for all applicants? What is your son’s major/college he’s applying to? My son (EA Deferred) has never received an interview request… Thank you.
Mine either, he is LSA deferred EA.
I’m LSA deferred but I only think that COE kids get the interview

@billcsho It says not every student will be invited for an interview. Is it a bad sign that I haven’t been invited for one? I am applying for CoE.
@brosnan22 It is optional and is subject to availability of alumni in your area. It may even be scheduled after the admission notice scheduled through mid April.

@brosnan22 @bratinahat @billcsho I just checked with my son. He did get an interview email. The Michigan alum designated for interview never responded to his emails. He tried 3 times. He then informed Michigan Engineering that the alum is not responding. They then sent him a form asking what happened. He filled it out and returned it. That’s it. Nothing after that.
@ReyDad Don’t worry. It is optional and it has little impact to admission, if any.
@Reydad… These do not count against or for the students. It is to fulfill to get alumni involved. Students that don’t do them get denied and accepted and one’s that do them get accepted and denied. But… They do show interest to some degree. He did the right to follow up.
