i also got the good one, but honestly i don’t think that matters
I think someone asked this earlier–and I know that no one really knows–but has anyone heard that the later the date in the month of March, the less likely to receive an offer? Or is this just a “college admissions myth”?
@Santander what do you mean by offer? If you mean Ross or financial aid then yes.
@boxerluvr I received the same letter. I guess I thought that was the bad deferral letter because it requested recent grades
@smileynan23 Thanks for the reassurance!
Michigan is the last school I’m waiting for. If I don’t get accepted, I’m going to Indiana Univ. or St.John’s.
I sent a LOCI back in January but I haven’t received any correspondence back. What should I do?
@EthanAz1 im down to make one
If anyone wants to make a snapchat groupchat, ill make a fake snapchat rn and post the username in another comment. If you send a request, ill go on my normal snapchat and i can make a groupchat on there and add you guys. This seems like a safe and secure way to go about it…sound like a good idea? @EthanAz1 @sim99 @agutch @umichlove10

Does anyone have any information about applying for the spring 2019 term? If I am waitlisted, can I apply to start in January or does Michigan not do that?
My theory is that ecisions will start coming out again when the basketball season ends for them…hopefully with a championship. It’s like free advertising. I’ve been trying to be pretty unemotional about this whole thing but the mid April date and the championship being April 2, idk made me wonder. I would think rolling admissions would actually mean rolling and if there are clear cut denials I would think those should go out. I don’t know where my kid stands but 50/50 is my best guess.
I was deferred back in December, then was accepted OoS to CoE early March. I had sent in a letter of continued intrest as well as strong mid-year grades. My deferral letter said to only send what they need and strong mid-year grades would improve my chances. My regional officer also said he would update my application (I added my UM-ID to the LOCI) but be prepared for anything. I didn’t check to see if my portal button disappeared or anything, I sent in my stuff and stopped worrying. Just check your email a few times a day, it is all out of your control at this point.
We have stopped checking. It is what it is and we can’t do anything about it. It was just a theory that occurred to me with regard to the Final Four. I know admissions and athletics are not intertwined but it doesn’t hurt them by having an even higher profile than normal if they have students they’ve already accepted who are waffling between them and another school (if the athletics/school spirit is something that matters to them).
