Now I know that everyone has their “inside guy” who says when decisions are coming out, but for a fact if you are in state and have kimberly bryant as your regional admissions counselor, then you will hear back this weekend. Not necessarily thursday/friday at midnight, but for a fact by the end of the week. Kimberly Bryant is regional counsler for the Rochester, Bloomfield ish area for those who don’t know who their admissions counselor is.
Any idea when is the LSA decision in California coming out?
What would be a strong midterm grades. I have 4A’s and 2B’s, 1AP and 3 Honor classes. Obviously I don’t have all A’s But given than I have AP and Honor courses would this be considered strong grades?
I don’t think midterm grades really help that much. I had all As with 4APs but still deferred so
Have any LSA deferred applicants received their final decision? Also, do we receive an email that there has been an update or do we just keep checking our portals?
@niharikas some LSA have heard
@Nursing13711 I just added as well
I am a sophomore at UMICH and my best family friend applied this year and wants me to go advocate for her at the office like talking to a rep. What do you guys think
Tell her yes but don’t actually go do it.
@michigansister Don’t do it, it shes qualified, she doesn’t need you to advocate for her, if she’s not qualified, advocating for her doesn’t make her more qualified
wait why shouldnt i?
@michigansister a. her decision is probably already decided regardless. b. don’t waste their time and your own. it’s weird just having a family friend walk in and talk highly of you… it’s like your aunt or something walking into a place after you interviewed a while back after they never called. weird.
Don’t piss off the admissions people… Also and don’t take this the wrong way… But who are you and what type of pull do you have?
Hi,
Since this Friday is good Friday…do we think that will impact timing of any decisions this week? Just curious…
I was thinking same thing – especially with Passover starting on Friday. My bet is on Wednesday or Thursday evening.
I contacted the s admissions office yesterday and they informed me that they were working get decisions out as soon as possible it was going to another 2-3 weeks (hopefully closer to 2). Doesn’t give people a lot of time to finalize a decision.
That is a terrible idea. I’m an alumni and DO NOT DO THIS as I can think of at least a few UofM admission reps would likely use that as a reason to deny her. Plus, I’m certain decisions are done, with few exceptions. Tell her you did, but don’t do it.
Have not looked at past years but do they wait until after Ivy Day to see who pulls their applications or turns down admission offers?
@Mom1997 They do not expect anyone to pull their application immediately after other RD admission. The decision deadline is May 1. The admission office does not care if one withdraw his/her application or even admission before May 1. It is already counted in the yield rate.
So decisions might not come out on Thursday at midnight like we all thought?
