No decision over here. I was planning on submitting a letter of interest, once my semester’s grades are finalized, but I guess that it’s too late. Oh well, I’ll email my admissions counselor soon.
Accepted today and literally started crying. SO HAPPY!!!
35 act, 2310 sat, 98 gpa, no decision lol
@DAIMYO what is your top choice ?
@meriks I don’t have one, i’m seeing where i get in then deciding from there basically
Decision: ** Accepted for CoE **
SAT Score: 2330 (800 M, 800 W, 730 CR)
SAT II Score: 2400 (800 Math, 800 Chem, 800 Phy)
Grades: All A+ from grade 9-11. Mid-Sem grades in 12th also all A+.
Predicted Grades for grade 12: Very very high (Almost 100)
Class Rank: NA. But my teacher told she has mentioned that I am in the top 1% in my school.
Recomm: Computer Teacher’s LOR should be excellent. Counsellor’s would be very good.
CommonApp Essay: 4/10
Michigan Supplemental Essay: 7/10
ECs: All 10 sections of CommonApp are stuffed. National and International Level wins (since my country is quite small, national wins won’t matter much).
Leadership: President Student Council in my school.
@determined2300 congratulations. Will you attend ?
LSA Honors email received late last night.
I was wondering what aid year options show up on WA under financial aid document status for those who applied EA and has it changed at all since applying?
@meriks
No. I have already got into GeorgiaTech which is a better option than Michigan (lesser fee, better weather etc).
I am waiting for other university decisions also.
@determined2300 i also got into umich and georgia tech why did you choose tech over umich apart from (lesser fee, better weather .
If you guys will attend Georgia tech, withdraw your app as soon as possible from Umich for other guys, thanks
An admissions officer at UM Ross implied that if you received this email, your application for PA was already reviewed…who else go this email and when did you apply?

Congratulations on your admission to the University of Michigan! This is a great achievement and you should be very proud.
We began reviewing your application for Preferred Admission to the Stephen M. Ross School of Business soon after you were admitted to the University on XX/XX/XXXX. This is a separate holistic review of your application file, which is the same file that was used for your freshman admission decision - please do not send Ross any new material. We are working very hard to deliver a final decision to you by the end of April.
We realize you have many decisions to make in the coming weeks. Therefore, we encourage you to continue to explore the many opportunities provided by the Ross School of Business. Below are various ways to connect with our Admissions staff and current students (Pro-tip: Remember to join our Facebook group because this is where we announce decision releases).
We wish you the best!

Does anyone know how many people they admitted yesterday?
My very unscientific count of people on this thread (cross-referencing the results thread) is that we know of 22. 20 posters on this thread, plus two students referenced by the person in Detroit (she got specific about scores, etc., so I counted them). I have NO idea what % of the admitted population is reflected in CC posts, though.

Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: Georgia Tech (accepted), Villanova (accepted), Fordham (accepted), Emory (pending), Tulane (deferred) Northeastern (deferred) University of Miami (pending)
General Comments: After deferral, she wrote a simple direct email advising my admission counselor how much she loved University of Michigan. Her school sent quarter grades. She was just accepted without midyear report yet remitted.
She was accepted after EA deferral
Huh- Surprising. Lots of kids with much higher stats still deferred.
Can someone please post the link to the admitted students Facebook group? Thank you
@scout07 I believe that showing genuine interest in UMich has been a large part of admissions so far this year. Hence why the high stat deferrals.
