i just got in NY!!! GO BLUE!!!
@nosyla
Hang in there. I am sure your son will get the good news soon.
@Hobothecat
Congratulation to your son on the acceptance.
Both, I certainly have no intention of putting down anybody.
As stated in my previous post, I found the college admission process to be so unpredictable.
My son also faces not quite but similar situation with some of the other schools that he applied to.
And that’s why I made the comment.
Even if you don’t hear today, don’t assume you won’t get in. Remember they have given themselves until April to let you know.
did anyone from nyc get in?
Accepted OOS. I sent a letter of continued interest but I didn’t send mid-year grades because my school’s first semester grades are not out yet, so I somehow got in without them.
Anyone from Minnesota/Wisconsin hear back?
Anyone get an invitation to apply for LSA Honors? (I have not yet, but am wondering if they are going out.)
Waiting in California-have heard nothing yet!
Im hoping its just a slow process and theyll be sending out acceptances for the rest of the day lol
@DAIMYO same… but if WA switched for them at midnight, I have a feeling that they won’t send anymore
Yeah I really hope more decisions are being released!
Update, email just appeared in my inbox today
Lol, nine more Fridays to go…

Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: My essays were awful, but I think my stats pulled me through
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: Accepted to Marquette, Minnesota-Twin Cities, and Kentucky. No other denials
General Comments: I was deferred with the “good letter” and I heard about my acceptance today 2pm
got an email around 3:15!!! I am so excited to be a wolverine!! I was deferred early action, 33 ACT, 95 GPA, OOS NYS. my midyear grades were not sent in. congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to those who are still waiting for decisions!!!
29 ACT and 3.8 gpa. I AM STILL DEFERRED, no email yet :’(
@calspeed I haven’t heard anything either…from Los Angeles
I saw only 2 people get accepted today after being deferred (metro detroit) and one of the girls has a 3.9 and 28. I still haven’t heard and I have a 3.85 uw and 4.03 w with a 28. I sent a letter and my semester grades
My daughter was accepted today, OOS, GPA 3.9 unweighted, ACT 33. She sent a letter of interest and mid year grades, and additional recommendation letter. What are the chances of being admitted into Honors LSA if initially deferred, does anyone know? The stats on the website for the average honors student are lower than most of the deferred applicants on this thread!!
I just got accepted to engineering after initially being deferred! OOS (California), F, 3.9-ish UW/4.3-ish W, ACT 34, 2160 single-score SAT, pretty good SAT Subject test scores in Math II and Chem. Ok extracurriculars. I think I had great recs. Essays were pretty good. No hooks other than being a female in engineering (if that even counts, haha).
I sent in a Letter of Continued Interest and got a reply a few days ago from my admissions counselor. I also sent in my mid-year report; I did pretty well this semester. I think these both possibly contributed to my decision.
I’m really excited, as UM is one of my top choices! Good luck to everyone else still waiting to hear a reply
