@newman22 I am wondering the same thing except for a RD applicant. I am curious if it is a good thing that we have not heard back from Michigan yet. My theory is that in these first few waves Michigan accepts and denies the obvious candidates. I have hope that since I haven’t heard yet (being somewhat of a below average applicant) that Michigan is holding onto my application because I’m on the admit/deny bubble. However, this is all speculation but I hope it is true because this is my number one school and I don’t want to lose hope!
@collegemomjam Although I will be waiting for a decision from Northwestern’s Econ program, Michigan is probably my first choice regardless if I am preadmitted to Ross or not (I am pretty positive that I won’t get into NW). Also, I am almost positive that I will not receive a Preadmit to Ross, but am cautiously optimistic that I’ll do well enough my freshman year to be admitted for my sophomore year. That said, I do really like BC (my brother is about to graduate from CSOM with a job straight out of school), it’s just that I see Michigan as a better option down the line because of its massive (and proud) alumni base within the business world. I feel that the potential connections and networking I’ll receive from UM is an unbelievable opportunity.

when you guys check your application data, does it say LSA undeclared, my area of interest is “Mathematical Sciences” but it does not say that on the app data.
All applicants have LSA undeclared, you can only declare a major as a sophomore at Michigan I believe. @manas1997 Does anyone know how long it takes on average for the admission packet to come in the mail?
@manas1997 I was just about to ask that too…I realized that a few months ago but didn’t bother looking into it
@carlsandburgsr it took about 2 weeks for my packet to arrive. I was in the first round of EA deferrals turned acceptances.
@calspeed I got my email at 1:45PM on Friday, but saw the acceptance on WA late Thursday night!

It’s UM’s winter break this week. Not sure if that means the admissions office will also be closed.
University offices generally don’t close then, but for some parts of the university it’s a time to take vacations. I wouldn’t think this is that time for admissions.

My 1st semester grades/schedule was very strong and I think gave my application that final push. Still deciding between MSU and UMich at this point…
