Congratulations… Son did not get it and we are in state. I ask because we were there today for the Ross presentation and they had 5 students giving the presentation. They were asked who got in direct admit. The three OOS kids were direct admit and the two in-state did not get in direct admit. Found that very interesting. They said the average direct admit had a 32 ACT and 3.88. Son has a 3.88 and and 35 and was not admitted direct.
Do they release all of the Ross direct admits in the same day at the same time? My daughter got into LSA and is waiting on Ross. Letter said by the end of April so do we know if this is rolling and will some kids find out later?
I remember reading on CC that last year those admitted EA in December heard from Ross in midMarch while those admitted later (deferred or RD) had a longer wait but I don’t know if this is 100% rule. My daughter, admitted to LSA on Dec 19, got notified today that she didn’t get preferred admit to Ross.
Congratulations to those that got into Ross PA!
For people accepted to Ross pre-admit- were you all accepted to Michigan in the first round of EA (12/19)? Did anyone who was accepted EA in February receive a decision from Ross?
My daughter was admitted to LSA in February and got no email today. It sounds like we will get a letter either way because someone got notified that they did not get pre-admit today
MIT released admissions decisions yesterday. Ivy League has an agreement amongst the 8 schools to release on the same date in late March/early April. Until this happens…and UofM understands the impact of the Ivy League decisions…I don’t think much happens with UofM.
@colllege53 I did get my email address shortly after paying the deposit, but nothing on housing or orientation. I believe that stuff is sent out in April.
There was nothing on the UmichAdmissions Tumblr today stating that there wasn’t going to be a batch released this week, unlike the last 2 mondays. I even made sure to send them an ask anonymously today if they were releasing anymore this week. With this, it might be a stretch, but I think we can conclude that we will get decisions this week.
Also, after asking the admissions office Live Chat if I could send in my 3rd quarter grades (just asked today), they responded with:
“no we are getting close to putting out decisions and we would not like anymore documents that have not been requested by the University”
The chances just seem so slim at this point, since it’s rolling I feel as if Michigan would have just accepted everybody they want by now. Does anyone actually know if a lot of people get accepted this late?
I mean, I don’t think they’ve admitted any of the RD applicants yet, so there are still a lot more acceptances to go. Waiting is annoying but I don’t think it’s a bad sign.
@nat97xo If you follow this forum, you should know there have been RD admission announced already. There are still acceptance to be announced, but I don’t think there would be more than half of the 15000 left.
