University of Michigan Early Action Class of 2019 Discussion

should we be expecting another round of decisions soon?

@nat97xo‌ I heard people saying that last year the decisions were released at the end of this month to the early of Feburary.

Some decisions were released on January 31st last year and then approximately every two weeks until April. We haven’t even finalized 7th semester grades yet so hopefully they don’t admit too many people early on.

So we think we’re going to hear Friday?

Is already having sent the mid-year report necessary to hear Friday? Unfortunately I’m still taking mid-terms and won’t have the mid-year report finalized till the end of next week.

I was accepted and a few weeks back I received a scholarship email. I was wondering if they sent it to everyone or just a few people. It was for an MLK scholarship that you have to apply for about service. Anyone??

Because so many people with such high scores were deferred, do you guys think there may be the possibility of allowing some of them to apply even though the deadline has already passed? seems a bit stupid to me that so many strong students were deferred and, therefore, prevented from applying to the honors college, but that’s just my take on it.

On the Michigan blog it says that decisions will be released in waves over the course of the next 10 weeks…

In past years, some Early Action deferrals found out in April…

Is it possible some applicants may hear Friday?

I hope some of us hear back this Friday

Please post reuslts with stats when you have them.

Good luck you guys! Hoping you will all get in Friday

@HumNation‌. Last years thread indicated some people heard even before they had a chance to send grades. Though not people who were told they MUST send grades.

Are they going to be up tomorrow? So afraid

I just live chatted with an Admissions person and she stated that the decisions would not be out tomorrow and that they have no estimated range of when acceptances would come out. I’m hoping she just said that for the sake of saying it and that a few of us will receive letters tomorrow. Good luck to all and Go Blue!

Are deferred students, if admitted, not given a chance to be in Honors?

I wouldn’t be too surprised if we don’t hear back tomorrow. Looking back at the deferred class of 2017 thread, deferred applicants didn’t hear back till the end of February to early March. Also, I heard a rumor that last year admissions did not read all the early action applications which could explain why some of last year’s deferred applicants heard back late January.

I see a lot of traffic re: admits and deferred…Have any rejections been received?
