I corrected the above.
Happy New Year! For those who were deferred during Early Decision, are there any views as to the best time for an applicant to submit their supplemental expression of interest? Should student wait until he/she receives their semester grades?
Happy New Year.
You will hear different scenarios and even the website can be confusing on what to do. If you got a letter in your portal read and follow the instructions. I know of studentās that crafted their postponement letters in advance and already sent them.
The website will tell you before March 1 and you donāt even need to send one. Itās āoptionalā. But⦠thereās always a but⦠I donāt believe in optional in life or especially applying to college. This is my take.
You are only given so many chances to show the school you are interested. When your file is reviewed to me this is the correct amount of extra information that āmight āhelp. Might. But to get into a school like Michigan I will take might any day of the week. You never want to regret not doing everything you could of right?
You will hear countless people tell you they or their child never did one and got in.
I would spend a week crafting a letter and hit send.
Midterm grades are a separate issues and follow what you were told to do then do that.
Good luck.
