University of Michigan fall 2020 transfer.

just got accepted as a current freshman transfer (will be a sophomore) into the school of kinesiology as of march 9th!

@brookeeeeharrison Do you mind telling us your stats?

@Xye747

stats:

4.0 college GPA unweighted

im in the honors college at texas christian university and i also run division one track and cross country for them

im involved in several research projects at tcu, i volunteer with service dogs, and i am a published author. i also ran two marathons in high school.

my high school GPA was a 3.4 something unweighted and was like a 3.8ish weighted im pretty sure? i was deferred then rejected my senior year of high school.

i took 31 hours between fall 2019 and spring 2020 all of which transfer over to umich (i spoke with la’joya orr before selecting my classes to make sure of this) and got a’s in all of my courses.

i’m a member of NHS and also made the dean’s list this past fall - i submitted my application jan 31 and umich didn’t receive my college transcripts until february 7th so if you submitted late don’t worry about it.

my specific major is exercise science - let me know if you need anything else!

i also got a 30 on my ACT and im an OOS resident from MA

@brookeeeeharrison Thank you, and congrats on your acceptance !

hey guys! once admitted are we automatically considered for scholarships if we submitted FASFA? i can’t update a scholarship profile on wolverine access since we don’t have access to that as transfer applicants

Hello guys.

After nearly 19 months of applying and waiting for decisions, being deferred as a senior and further waitlisted, I have finally been accepted

Stats:
High school GPA: 3.99 weighted, ~3.8 Weighted

9 AP classes

College GPA: 3.86

Credits at my prior university: 58 (includes AP, without AP it’s 18 lol)

Prior university was a small private university in Illinois.

Extracurriculars were pretty sparse, I just had some volunteer work, actual work, and some hobbies like bonsai and history.

Counselor: Megan Taylor

Applied on 1/31/20

It is odd. I spent so long and hard trying to get in, and once I did I didn’t even feel much
Is there something wrong with me?

Just got admitted for UM as sociology major. I was deferred and rejected two years ago in high school, since my HS GPA and SAT/ACT was really bad (way below their average).
I applied with 3.85 GPA and just got admitted today!! UM does in fact review applications holistically, and there’s definitely hope to get in!!!

Good luck to those that are still waiting!!

@Crivelo That’s also me, my heart was beating so quickly but after I see my acceptance I don’t feel as much as I supposed to. lol
