@Knowsstuff From the website, last years stats: https://michiganross.umich.edu/programs/bba/class-profile
It’s so hard waiting, but hopefully worth it in the long run.
“more than 6,000 applications for 900 spots” -admissions director at ross campus day when i went
UM also received over 62.5k applications O.o
@richardye1 Which Campus day did you attend and just curious how many students were there for the Ross campus day? 4/16 is the last Campus Day for Ross…so for sure notices will be out next Friday 4/13.
@richardye1 hold on wait…900 spots? I thought Ross admits only 500 pre admits and 125 transfers. 900 would be almost double the preadmits they accepted last year
@wallstreetangel they admit 900 for a preadmit class size of around 500
@richardye1 ahhh you’re right omg I forget thank uuu
ok so who is still waiting on this thread, I think there are 3-4 that are?? And those waiting what is your back up plan as in same boat, thank you.
@FoxRulz I’m still waiting and, as of right now, if I was to be denied by Ross, I’d either head to LSA Honors (which I’m also waiting on) or I’ll head to UVA/Emory
@wallstreetangel last year they admitted around 960 from an applicant pool of about 5,000
UVA? Take it.
@holdingouthope I love UVA, but I’d definitely still go to Ross over UVA. I’m also waiting on two waitlists (WashU and UC Berkeley) before I actually know where I’m gonna end up next year
@richardye1 just curious if you went to the campus day and also did a Ross tour on the regular campus visit. If so, how different were they? Still waiting on Ross & I’m OOS. If last campus day is 4/16 and we only find out on 4/13 (& if I’m lucky enough to get in ) it’s going to be an expensive last minute visit to make the Campus Day. Was wondering if what is covered is very different?
@Mattyup My kids went to Campus Day. The morning session was for all admitted students regardless of schools for a general U of M tour. They walked around campus and saw a dorm room, library etc. After lunch at the cafeteria, it splits by school so they went to the Ross tour. According to my kids (since they went alone), it was much like the info session with more emphasis on the actual BBA program (classes, credits, etc). The difference being they got to talk to current students which they liked. They had done the summer Ross info session when no students were around. Even though a lot of information was available online and similar to info session, they were still glad they went.
Are you all buying your pre-admitted sons a new suit and blazer to send them off this fall with nice business clothes? Or do freshman not participate in any BBA functions?
My non Ross freshman had two occasions that he could of used a sports jacket with slacks. One was an interview. Seems though kackies that are pressed and a button down shirt will do also but… If they need a suit or dress in a pinch… https://careercenter.umich.edu/content/clothes-closet
Can’t beat free clothes ![]()
Does anyone know if Ross students can live in South Quad? One of my admissions documents said that Ross students can’t live in Honors housing, and since I know that South Quad is where the Honors students live I’m not sure. Is it possible for the entire South Quad to be reserved for LSA students?
@Jagomezpr Sorry, still waiting on a ross decision here haven’t gotten to housing yet, lol! Maybe there is a housing thread?
@FoxRulz Yeah I think there is but its really old lol
My understanding is that South has honors students, and I think a lot of athletes, but I think there is still room for others in South since there are more rooms than honors students. However, you don’t get to choose where you live anyway… you are assigned to a dorm.
