University of Michigan Transfers Winter 2026

Hi! Anyone that’s planning on applying to Michigan for the 26 winter semester can share your information here. Best of luck

Yes, I submitted my application in August

Just wanted to add in my stats in as well:

GPA: 3.85

Credits: 61 transferable credits (12 in progress)

In state 4 year

Did you guys update your term from fall 2025, if so did you guys update essays or keep them the same? I know there was also a new supplemental essay this year so I was wondering if anyone wrote that.

following……

I kept my essay mostly the same, just changed a few things but nothing major. Also, I’ve seen someone say they wrote the new essay, but it wasn’t required.

*Not required if you’re updating your term, not sure if it is if it’s your first time applying.

I’ll add my stats

Applied for LSA as a philosophy major

In-state, 4.0 at UM-Flint

30 completed credits, 12 in progress

ECs: 2 years full time work as a natural disaster restoration technician, 50 volunteer hours

1 letter of recommendation from a philosophy professor

I wrote the new essay as well  I just want to do everything possible to help me get in, Michigan is my dream school!!!

Wow! Everything is so good! R u a sophomore or a freshman?

Does anyone know when they start sending out decisions?

I think last year the first batch was on October 7th? Usually they send out LSA decisions first and then to my understanding, most engineering students get their decisions later around mid-November.

mid-November for CoE? NOOO :sob:

Wait don’t quote me on that, I just remember seeing past threads say that most of the people receiving decisions in November were CoE, but I could totally be wrong!
