That is odd! My D26 assigned a teacher to submit a LOR, and the teacher still hasn’t submitted or even started it (sigh)… meanwhile, D was admitted Sept 22. I wonder why her application was received and marked complete, while your student’s was not?
Perhaps it might be a safer bet for applicants not to designate a teacher for the optional LOR for UMN, if the teacher isn’t already done writing it? My student might have been lucky that UMN went ahead and downloaded her app, but it sounds like yours wasn’t so lucky!
