Just heard from another parent over on reddit, her son also applied EA to Carlson and also his portal just updated an hour or so ago with the same request!

How long was it that he got his acceptance after submitting the mid-year grades (assuming this was a request to update STARS)? My son just got the request today to update STARS with first term grades. Hoping this is a good sign!
My son got a letter at 5:30pm tonight that he was deferred. They haven’t seen his mid-year grades yet as it still says “Awaiting’ and common app mid year report says Submitted, but not downloaded. Hopefully he’ll get accepted once grades are reviewed!

C26 deferred from UMN. Deferral letter says to send first semester grades…but they did already and marked as received on the portal so that’s odd. It had fallen off the list anyway so they’re not going to bother question that.

My son was just admitted (after a deferral during EA round) to CSE! He got the notification at 4:19pm today (Wednesday) that his portal updated! During EA round deferral he was asked to submit first term grades, which he did that same day.

For completeness, adding here that C26 was admitted this weekend after a prior EA deferral. Will not be attending.
Just for information sake putting it out here because he has decided to join elsewhere, S26 got accepted to UMN yesterday after being waitlisted in March. Today they got the scholarship letter - 5k per year.

Same situation here (OOS, $5k), but got in for second choice major. Dealbreaker so moving on. Good luck!
