Totally surprised by timing but my kid got accepted today (oos)! What happened to “mid December”?!? Anyone else?
No mention of merit yet which I thought was automatic so that’s a bit concerning…

My daughter was also excited to get her acceptance today! Merit offer was included in the acceptance letter!

Congrats! I read last year that merit was in the initial letter too, which doesn’t bode well for us. I did email admissions but never heard back…
I’m afraid we did get notice of merit aid too, in the acceptance letter. I think I recall that they base it strictly on the (recalculated) GPA, and my son got what we anticipated he might - so you might check their criteria and see if somerthing looks off. My son was also hoping to get invited to the Honors Program - but disappointed it was not mentioned. Still very happy to get accepted.

Applied around September 23rd.
Our son was notified of his acceptance yesterday. He applied on 10/25 OOS 3.4W 1190 SAT. He is receiving $7,500 in merit per the UNH scholarship award tables.

award letter mentioned merit amount but no info about honor college.

My daughter is in for chemical engineering! She also got a $20k per year trustee’s scholarship and honors college.
Very very exciting!! We walked around campus about 2 weeks ago and had lunch at one of the restaurants right next to campus. It’s beautiful!

Anyone here receive “Direct Admission” through Niche.com? Son was accepted through Niche way back in October… but we’re still waiting to hear something from UNH. He’s emailed admissions a few times, but portal still says “awaiting decision.”
My daughter had an offer from Niche that she started the process on, but then she decided to send in the full common app instead. She got a message asking her to complete the niche app after she submitted the common app. We were confused. I called admissions and told them to move forward with her completed common app, and then she had her decision about a week later.
so….my suggestion is to call admissions and just check in on status!
All set–He received an email reply telling him to check his portal last night, and was officially accepted!
