DD26 Accepted OOS w/Summit Scholarship.
I saw that Honors applications deadline is 1/15 so I imagine we won’t hear anything until later.

What does business administration pre-major mean is he a direct admit or??
apparently this is not a direct admit. we are in the same boat: in state, 4.0 Unweighted, top 2%, SAT 1500+, NMSF, in state, varsity ski, volunteer hours 200+ and listed as premajor only with summit scholarship. needless to say this has gone way down on our list of colleges - which is a bummer.
Similar stats and that is totally ridiculous.
is your child in state or out of state? we are looking OOS with full tuition + scholarships. kinda sad really, the instate would have been a bit higher on our list if they “loved us back”. my child also would have completed the business pathway for high school graduation.
In looking at the U of O website, it looks like all business students are admitted to the pre-business major. Am I reading that wrong? The requirements list looks straightforward, but if anyone has insight into it being hard to actually get into the major I would appreciate it. (My D19 went to U of Washington and applying to business had bad outcomes for many students - it was brutal there.) Undergraduate Majors | Lundquist College of Business
Not sure about this year but prior years there are high stat kids that get a direct entry to major pathway. They told us during a visit that they offer these to kids with high gpa with > 30 credits (AP/DE) will receive these special invitations. My child will enter with 50-60 credits so I have no idea what other criteria they are looking for.

The bus school will review all those and change them to direct admit in a few weeks. You’re all good

If that’s true u of o should reconsider this method its off putting if its not known upfront
My son was admitted OOS for political science with the $12,500 annual Summit scholarship.

My kid also applied for architecture — was admitted to UO EA and major says pending program approval. Wonder when we will hear.
Has anyone heard from the Honors College?
Son just got two separate emails. One was to inform him of Honors College acceptance, the other was to inform him of direct admit to College of Business.

we just got that too, what a confusing process. their initial admit letter could have been a lot clearer (like many other colleges we applied to).

My daughter got emails yesterday too. Admitted to Architecture and Honors College. Faster decisions than expected, so a nice surprise. Congrats all who got updates as well!
