Honestly, it was the most amazing experience. I have been flipping about my first born going to college - and just seeing her at Pitt, I felt like things were going to be OK. It has so much to offer. But hearing one way or another would absolutely help me sleep better at night!
@raetopp, @dream104, @ashleyeliz - Thank you all for your posts. It’s comforting to know that some of us are in the same boat. I’ve been very discouraged looking at all of the scores and GPAs of the accepted students so far. I’ve also been stalking this thread and checking the Pitt mobile app (sometimes hourly) hoping for some news! The wait is so hard, especially reading where some students get accepted just days after applying! My D is obsessed with all things Pitt, so we are really hoping she’ll get in(her stats are average and posted in a previous thread). She visited this past summer and loved it. When it’s the right fit, I think they just know it! Really hoping for some news for all of us soon! Good luck!
My daughter found out she was accepted to Swanson School of Engineering on 10/10, she applied on 9/24. Her SATs were a 1270 (M 690/R 580) GPA W 4.7/UW 3.75. SAT Math 2 Subject test 720. She was thrilled. After reading this thread I checked the portal and saw the buttons on 10/10. She received the video on 10/11. She is OOS. She has taken 5 APs and 9 Honors classes.
She is interested in Computer Engineering. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
D was finally accepted to Dietrich! The buttons changed Friday and she received acceptance email yesterday. Applied 9/14, but College Board took forever to send SAT scores (over 2-1/2 weeks from when ordered on 9/9). Her scores/GPA were right on lower line of the middle 50% - 1240 SAT/3.75W. Assumed they were waiting to see her October SAT scores, which won’t be released until Friday, but I believe her essays were strong. She is thrilled!! Good luck to all!

Congrats to your daughter! And thanks for sharing. My stats are very similar to her’s so that makes me feel better. I was getting scared seeing all these almost-perfect scores.
Do the buttons appear at the end of the day or do they just appear as people get accepted?
@ashleyeliz I wondered the same thing myself. I know I checked Friday morning and nothing, but checked again right after lunch and the buttons were there. I assume they change whenever they enter the acceptance into their system. Best of luck to you!
For those who have committed and submitted your deposit, have there been any portal changes? My counselor said it was unusual they haven’t asked for an official transcript yet but I haven’t had any “to dos” in my portal since I submitted my deposit? Also does anybody know when scholarship information begins to roll out?
No she only completed 2 essays.
Daughter was accepted today 10/17, applied 9/30… 98% average, 1290 SAT, many AP’s, activities, sports. Significant volunteer work. She completed the supplemental responses in addition to her essay. Good luck to all!!
She has buttons! It’s a relief to know. I’m not generally impatient, but I was beginning to wonder.
I saw the buttons in the Pitt mobile app yesterday. No email yet.
Stats- SAT 1330 and GPA 4.4. Strong responses to the SAQ. Applied through Common App 10/7.
@Iclamon I believe once you graduate Pitt requires the final high school transcript then.
Congrats to everyone who has been accepted. Getting so nervous seeing everyone else getting accepted and I’ve still heard nothing…I’m hoping I’ll get an acceptance soon if not today.
So excited! She’s in! Applied to Dietrich 10/1, application complete 10/2, Buttons appeared 10/18 at 1:00 pm. SAT 1270/ 27 ACT/3.67 GPA/OOS - H2P!
Are these buttons only on the mobile app? Application complete, accept/decline shows but can’t do anything with it. Can I see them on my laptop too?
@stemkid - go to psmobile.pitt.edu
It’s the only place you can see the buttons. You can see them on your laptop too! Good Luck!
What exactly are buttons? When I click check my application, the page is just blankkk
@ask2020 - You have to use psmobile.pitt.edu. Under the dashboard, you click admissions and will then see accept/decline. If your application is under review it will say no pending applications. If you’re accepted you will see two buttons (Accept and Decline) with School name, Plan/Major, and Term. The blank page you are seeing is in the Pitt mobile app. This app only tells you if your application is complete. It looks blank, but there are small buttons on the top to select main menu, self-service, and application status. There isn’t much information there. Hope this helps! Good Luck!
