Has anyone gotten accepted to any of the Guaranteed Admission Programs? If so, what were your stats and what major did you get accepted into?
^ That reminded me… since I applied for Guaranteed Admissions, does it take longer for my buttons to show up since they have to review me for that too, or is it a separate acceptance after I get accepted into the school?
also curious about the answer to the post above since I applied to guaranteed nursing and I don’t have buttons
Do the honors notification letter and the scholarship letter come separately? I received a letter in the mail about my acceptance to Pitt Honors but did not hear back regarding a scholarship decision.
@fakesnek - would you be willing to share your stats? So far you are the only person that has posted who has received an acceptance to the Honors Program. You must have incredible stats! Also, I did see posted elsewhere that Honors notifications and Scholarships are completely separate so hopefully you will be hearing back about scholarships soon (possibly beginning of November) but for sure by March at the latest.
Which major did you apply to?
As mentioned before, honors selection is not just stats based, it is more holistic now.
The scholarship committee meets every week and notifications started coming out in November in the past.
Not everyone who received merit last year was accepted to honors. I am not sure if everyone in honors receives merit.
@ask2020 I got a guarantee for pharmacy! I had a 3.7 weighted GPA (If I remember) and a 1490 SAT with a 790 in math. My GPA was pretty low (I even had a few Cs!), but I had a few strengths. I applied for and did a pharmacy camp at Pitt this summer, I made it clear that Pitt was my #1, and I had a strong academic curriculum. Even though I didn’t always have an A in a class, I still tried to challenge myself as much as possible. I also got a pretty high SAT, only due to my math ability. I also applied August 1st at 12:01 AM, answered all 3 of the short-answer questions, and emailed oafa frequently over the summer with questions (They’re super helpful!). It’s the only college I applied to, and I got in September 14th and actually accidentally opened my Guarenteed Admission letter before I opened my general admission to Pitt! Hope that helps somewhat! #h2p
@kpharmgirl Congratulations on the pharmacy guarantee!!!
Do I have a chance?

Did you receive any scholarship from Pitt?
Also is it possible to apply for the GAP, but only get into the general college? Or do you just get declined all in all?
My daughter applied on 10/7 via the common ap. On there it just shows in process. Is it to soon to get an email from Pitt with how to log into the student portal or did we miss something?
So exciting seeing all the good news!
@ask2020 I did not receive a scholarship and don’t expect one since you basically have to have all As to even be considered for a merit-based scholarship, but they send out scholarship info all the way until mid-March, I believe, so you never know! Also yes, you can still get into Pitt if you wanted to be considered for GA but didn’t get chosen for it. Basically, the admissions counsel chooses whether you’re generally accepted into Pitt first; then, if you get in, they send your stats to whichever school for which guarentee you want to be considered.
@mommdc Thank you so much! It was a pleasant surprise!
Can you access this page without any log in information from Pitt? How long after applying do they send information with user name?
@Hollysthree I submitted my application on 10/08 and was emailed my account username and key on 10/11. This might be different for everybody though.

So you’re planning on paying the entire tuition?? It’s so expensive:(
Hmm ok, maybe I should call admissions in the morning? Thank you.
@ask2020 It’s so expensive, but I’m literally just trying to apply to as many outside scholarships as possible. I have to win at least one.
