Hello. I am happy to say I have been accepted to the college of business administration! 3.34 uw gpa (school does not weight) with 2 APs and 8 honors courses. 1470 SAT. Extracurriculars were pretty good-- included a business I run. I got the email with the video today but did not get mail or any updates online. Anyone have an idea on when I will get those?

@user3207 3.9/4.38 UW/W GPA, 35 ACT, School of Computing. I got a letter after about six weeks from my acceptance letter.

Mommdc: Thanks for your encouraging words. and congrat all the above. my D was also accepted to Pitt business.

Hello fakesnek, congrats! can you tell the amount of merit scholarship? OOS or IS?

@ask2020 Dietician/Nutritionist (BS/MS) GPA 98%, SAT 1290, lots of AP/Honors Classes, student athlete and lots of community involvement/volunteer

More merit news. $5000 a year/ $20,000 total OOS. 1520 SAT, 4.0W. Dietrich. Applied and accepted in September.

Disappointed with the merit amount, but not surprised after following this thread. It makes my kid feel good to get something, especially so soon after other schools EA apps were due.

Not enough to make it more likely that my kid will attend. And we will probably be getting decisions until April 1. So, we’ll see how it shakes out.

Good luck to everyone.

Received Letter of merit of scholarship this afternoon; $10,000/year for four years. Pitts Business; SAT1550, GPA 4.425; lots excurriculum activities; In-State. Daughter is very happy with it. Good luck to all!

@emptynestpls does your student have a favorite yet? Looks like TAMU and Pitt are on the list and you guys are in Georgia?

@carachel2 so far, he’s been accepted to Alabama, Ole Miss, Miss State, Pitt, Michigan State, Michigan Tech, Tennessee, and Mississippi State.
He would get in state tuition at all Florida schools, Mississippi state and Michigan state because of being a veterans child, Georgia schools, and we are moving to Tennessee after graduation, so he will get in state tuition. So that will play a big part of decision.
He would be going into Supply Chain- Mich state is #1 ranked, Tenn is ranked #3. TAMU has a business/engineering degree that he is interested in, but because it’s OOS and looking at numbers he wouldn’t get any merit- I don’t know. He was born in Texas and has always wanted to go back.
If he can get into GT or Georgia it would be a game changer, but as of right now- I think Tenn is top on his list.
Still waiting on 7 decisions. We have 3 in college and 1 in law school this year. Will be 4/1 next year so every penny counts.

How long does the decision from Pitt take? I applied to Penn State COE and Pitt SCI on November 1st and got my Penn State acceptance letter in the mail yesterday.

In state: 5,000, year.
Stats: 1500 SAT, 3.99 UW GPA (13 APS),
several good ECs,

Not gonna lie that stung a little

@PurpleLlama066 Wow. It really is the trend this year for in-state kids. Wasn’t the case in the past.

Pitt usually sends acceptance soon after scores and transcript or SRAR are received, but it may depend on the school applied to and GPA/test scores.

When do we hear back about honors?

@KS2016 I am OOS and still haven’t received a merit letter.
