S20 will be submitting his application shortly, just polishing the SAQ.
This is our first rodeo so excuse me if the questions are basic.
He plans to apply via the common app. How does he complete the SRAR? And should he also request a transcript to be sent from the school or wait to see if he is accepted and chooses to go?
Has anyone who sees “the buttons” on the mobile app received an official email or letter yet?
I have the buttons but no official word yet. I believe they said on their Instagram that the first “batch” of admissions decisions are going out next week.

Dietrich School, I put Physics as my major on the app but it says undeclared in my portal.
I just received my son’s acceptance letter in the mail to Dietrich School for premed. We didn’t get an email yet. He applied 8/3 and the buttons changed about two weeks ago, I believe. He was so excited to read that letter; it is his first college acceptance letter.

I would imagine that everyone who got the buttons on the admission portal will be seeing emails and letters soon!! H2P!
Just got my buttons today!! Applied 8/15 to Dietrich.
Acceptance packet came in today’s mail! ? S has been looking for the buttons on the portal—either it didn’t show on his, or he misinterpreted what to look for.
Application was complete 8/21 via Pitt app. 34 ACT, 4.0 UW, OOS. Accepted to Dietrich.
@ShrimpBurrito Strange that the buttons didn’t show up on your son’s acct. How would you accept admission to Pitt if he chooses to attend?

DS received Dietrich acceptance package in mail. Will wait for merit aid info before he makes his final decision.
Looks like acceptances thus far are only to A&S (Dietrich), right? I didn’t see yet acceptances to Nursing, Business or Engineering.

We have paid my son’s tuition deposit already and we have not received the packet in the mail.
On this thread there are a few reports of acceptances into SCI: School of Computing and Information.
Letter arrived today.
@TheVulcan thanks for letting me know and congratulations officially! No letter here yet. My daughter applied to SCI on 8/10 and I found the magic buttons this past Monday only after I read about them in this thread. We are in Connecticut so hoping something will come in the mail tomorrow!
The buttons changed to accept/decline for my son today. He applied to Swanson School of Engineering on 8/21.

Son applied early Aug 2019, received acceptance letter in mail today, Sep 13. Accepted into CBA as Finance major. PA resident.
