@burke1098 Nothing yet for S20 but with D17 and D19 they both received an email and letter in the mail within a week of button changes.
Buttons changed for my son today. He is in!!! H2P!!!
Congratulations to all who’ve been admitted! I noticed that my daughter’s buttons changed on Monday evening but I haven’t told her yet. I’m waiting for her to get the official email. But it’s killing me!!
@Arm2227 what school was he accepted to?? Congrats!
Buttons Changed for S20. Applied 9/1 to Dietrich in an area of science (that was fast!). OOS, highly selective STEM magnet where Pitt actively recruits. 3.98W GPA, 1520 SAT (780 M/740 V), 800 Math 2 SAT, 740 Physics, 710 Lit. Pitt is technically a safety, but he loved visiting, was very impressed, thinks Pittsburgh would be a great place to attend school, and they have a great program in his area of interest. If he got decent merit aid, he would definitely seriously consider attending.
Waiting for the official notification email, etc. to tell him though. But, he will be thrilled.
Has anybody tried to make payment yet? I can get almost all the way through the process. However it stops me when I put card information in.
I found the answer - Use Firefox!
DS’s button also changed. SCI…SAT 1460 (680R,780M), weighted 4.8, unweighted 3.6, 12APs. Instate.
Hi, I just submitted my Pitt app on 9/7 and on the https://psmobile.pitt.edu/app/dashboard under the to do’s section it says they still need my high school transcripts and test scores, even though I self-reported both on common app.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
It sounds like you need a copy of your SAT scores sent to them from the college board. Also, we sent the most recent copy of my son’s transcripts (even though they didn’t ask).
My daughter applied via the common app and received an email with a Pitt ID. How does Pitt Pass work? Do applicants receive a separate communication with a username and password for the portal?
Still no buttons. ? S applied 8/21 via Pitt app to Dietrich. He’s high stat so we’re not too worried, we just want to be a part of the fun.
@ShrimpBurrito , for reference, my DS applied August 3rd. I think it will be a matter of time until they process all the pending applications from August.
I now see the buttons!!! Hope thsst means what everyone says it does.
For people who have not applied yet.
I posted above with the S20 who applied 9/1 and had the buttons change 10 days later. He used ed the CA (which I know caused problems last year) and we just went ahead and sent scores from the CB to every single school he is applying to in August (he’s done testing). We decided the extra fees were worth it if we didn’t have to track which schools allow self report (and possibly make a mistake and not send a score report where it was needed).
Interestingly, the data from all the SAT and SATIIs, including subtext scores and percentiles (Heart of Algebra, x%) populated under his academic record on the app. It makes me wonder if decisions come out faster if you send the scores directly from CB early. That way, they establish a file with you basic information, and the scores don’t have to be transferred. So they can move it faster. We also did self reported grades, rather than transcripts, which might need to be re-entered.
Just speculation. But I was surprised at the speed with which this moved.
Congrats…We were able to pay our tuition deposit with the buttons (only). Your good!!!
For my DS20, Accept/Decline button is showing up but the Plan/Major says “Undeclared” . Shouldn’t that be displaying the major he selected?
Also, will the official email from Pitt contain the merit aid details?
@sanpu In the past, the merit scholarship committee has met to review applications in October, so we probably won’t get those details for a while yet.
As long as the school is correct (Dietrich/Swanson etc…) your good. Major really are not declared until their junior year. My son’s was the same.
