My son just got an email saying “Check the Status of your Application” and inside: We have your application on file. Once it’s marked complete in our system, it goes straight to our Admissions Committee for review. You’ll hear from us if any items are missing.
We’ve already set up the portal–soon after he applied (December 08) . For those of you that just received your acceptances, did you get this email before you saw the buttons in the portal?
I just recieved the same email, its very weird and I applied since Novemver 11. So any information on that would be greatly appreciated.

Checked with my daughter & she never received that email. She applied in November also.

I imagine that we will soon know. I did follow the prompts and found the very teeny, tiny link to check the status–which did say his application was sent/complete on 12/8 which is correct. So at least we know something is happening.
Recently got a text that said Thanks for joining Pitt admissions ( which I signed up for text messages way back in Nov). Applied Nov 11. Still haven’t heard anything. Anybody know about this text? Thanks!
My admission status changed today from “no pending applications” to “You are not able to accept admission through PeopleSoft Mobile”, and there is a new application to Natural Sciences at UPG. Does this mean I was rejected from my preferred program and they want me to apply to a new program? I’m just a little confused…
Is that the greensburg campus? Is that the one you originally applied to or did you apply to main campus? Wondering if you were accepted to that campus but can’t accept through the portal? It’s so confusing and I think I’m reading into everything way too much! Lol
Yes, that is their greensburg campus. I originally applied to the Dietrich school of arts and sciences, not greensburg. I’m not sure because under the new “application” to UPG it says “application is incomplete” assuming i’d need to apply again… I’m so confused too lol!

it took them a really long to get back bc i applied 10/17. i currently have my fingers cross for ohio state and tampa! good luck to you as well.

Is it normal for mine still to say no pending if applied on November 29
I’ve also been getting daily emails asking me to check the status of my application, but no buttons or decision letter. Applied 12/1 for Honors. Anyone get a decision after getting those emails?
My daughter got that email as well. The only difference I notice is that if we go under admissions she can accept or decline her admission to her major/school. That was not an option before.
Based on previous discussions, the buttons mean you got accepted. The reason is that you can accept or decline the application.

Hi, I applied 11/29 and got my buttons today (11/12). Does anyone know what happens when you press “accept” when it asks you to accept or decline admissions? Is pressing “accept” a binding decision where you’re telling Pitt that you will attend, or are you just acknowledging an acceptance?
I believe the “accept” button will lead you to confirming Pitt as your chosen school. We have until May 1, so if you’re still not sure, I’d wait. But if you are, go for it!
