Do they email about scholarship notifications or we have check the doc center?

check document center because it will be there long before they send snail mail or shoot out any emails.

My daughter applied late (2/23) and was waitlisted

Hello, does anyone know what qualifies someone to be reimbursed for a campus visit? We are flying from Texas and needing to stay at a hotel so its going to get pretty expensive! TIA!

If you did not receive an email invitation, you will not be eligible to receive reimbursement for your visit.

Yes I know that but do you receive the email prior to the visit or after?

Nope, didn’t receive any emails. I live in TN.

Did you already go on the visit?

I visited a regular admission/campus tour last fall and in about three weeks I will visit their decision day on April 5th.

I was under the idea that only admitted student tours were eligible for reimbursement (Dear Future Panther & Descion Day)

Yes, you’re right.

Daughter got accepted into Honors College.

Do only people from West coast usually receive this reimbursement visit option?

Did anyone else’s kid just get an email saying something like Pitt requests social security number in order to process potential financial aid?

We did not submit FAFSA. Just wanted to confirm this doesn’t mean she received a late merit offer. She won’t check her portal, because they want her to change her password and she’s too irritated to do it.

It otherwise seems like a strange email to send to everyone, including people who did not request FA.

We didn’t receive an email like this and I’d be wary of giving anyone my or my child’s SSN via solicitation. I’d call to ask them what’s going on.

It did say do not reply to this email. Hmm

I also got the email and didn’t sign up for FA. I got a merit scholarship back in Nov, so I’m pretty sure it isn’t indicative of a late merit scholarship. I’m guessing it’s just basically an email saying “If you want to get need based aid, now’s your last chance!”

SSN is needed for universities to process a required federal form for enrolled students
