How are people getting decisions back that applied after 8/20 
I applied on 8/18 and application was completed 8/20. Went under review on 8/26. This is stressing me out

From what i understand the common app will submit the personal essay automatically, if the college requires it.

My daughter was also accepted last night. Under review 8/7. School of Nursing. Same scenario. Email that there was an update to her portal at 7:15pm. Good luck everyone! Seems like they are going in order.

Stupid question, but Iām assuming the portal would also be updated in the same time frame if you were denied admission?
Iāll just note again that I really would not stress out if you/your kid does not get a decision in this wave. The committees are obviously working hard to get through the initial build up of applications, but it may take multiple waves to get fully caught up, and they may not get through them strictly in the order they were submitted. And even when things are just humming along at peak, last year it would sometimes take some people a bit longer than others to get a decision, for reasons that were never really transparent.
I think that is a safe assumption, but of course people are far less likely to post about it online if they were denied. A few people last year did post denials, which was very helpful, but not nearly the same percentage as we know was actually happening.

First time parent here, and Pitt is at the top of her list, so a naive question.
Is there a particular time of day when the email acceptances are sent? Or is it any time of day, and just watch your email?
Daughter submitted all on 8/13 and confirmed receipt on 8/16, so hoping she hears soon.

It seems like a bunch were released at 7:15 PM last night. S25 received his then, but he applied 8/2 and app was complete 8/6 so it took 7 weeks.

I do think patterns will emerge with days/time notifications are sent as well as groupings by specific colleges.

Congratulations to everyone. We were so excited our son got in last night. I was reading through Scholarship info. Its clear those who get into the Honors college get money but I was less clear on the wording for those not in the Honors college. Is their merit aid that could (maybe) potentially come? Thanks!

The way it looks as if it is released in batches per school. From what I can see the Swanson has decisions for under review applications Sept and Business last week of August. Dietrich I donāt see any decisions from last week of August and Sept but possible those people have not posted yet. I hope that is the case that they have not released decisions 8/28 onwards for Dietrich. Fingers crossed !!
