University of Pittsburgh Class of 2029 Official RD Thread

Good. I like your chances. I know it’s hard to wait. You can do it

Honestly, It may feel like everyone after you is getting their decisions but if you look at the messages here someone who applied on 8/1 to Dietrich heard back yesterday. So decisions are being released as and when the admission officers are uploading and since there was a slight delay in the beginning things look more haphazard right now with dates. Stay positive.

My son applied ~9/6, linked his SRAR several days later, and was accepted to Dietrich on 9/24. However this seems to be unusually quick compared with most students’ experiences so I don’t know that this is a good barometer. My perception from last year and (so far) this year is that it usually takes at least four weeks minimum for a decision.

This happened to my daughter last year. Several of her classmates received acceptances before she did despite applying after she did. She is now a very happy first year student at Pitt. Hang in there!

Did you guys contact U Pitt at all for anything for any status check or anything?

We did because the 4 items in the portal didn’t get all the green check marks. So my D25 emailed them to make some clarifications.

what does D25 stand for?

Any idea when accepted students day is?

Daughter class of 2025

They always have multiple days into the next year. This year they are posting registration via the admissions portal. Not out yet though.

is there anyone who just doesn’t see the whole waiting decision page?? the only one that works for me is the people soft page

Thank you!

My daughter’s stats are similar to yours. All materials were complete on 8/8 and still have not heard for nursing.

One was in October and the other one was the first Monday in December.

My daughter’s Pitt admission rep visited their school this week and advised there would be an Admitted Students event in November 2024 and then many more in the spring of 2025.

I applied August 1st, application went under review August 8th, still don’t have a decision sadly. Should I be concerned?

Whats your major? It could be that and/or the admission counselor assigned to the account. Not fact tho, just a possibility to consider. Either way, I definitely think its better to not have heard a denial than nothing at all.. least thats what i keep telling my daughter.
