I thought it would be useful to folks to know that they have started releasing decisions after pausing for the break.
Good Luck!

May I ask what his stats are? GPA, SATs (and were they submitted), major, etc. My friendâs student is still waiting to hear - Pitt is her #1.
TIA.
Sure.
OOS
3.9 1430 SAT
Journalism, jazz band
S25 heard a few days back. OOS, Mechanical Engineering. Itâs been about 8 weeks since his app. shows complete.
Has anyone in state received an Honors acceptance in the pilot project? Iâve only heard of OOS students so far.
Yes, test optional. She texted the AO and heard the decision had finished committee and they were validating. I have no idea what validating means. But she should hear shortly, as in a few days. That was last week.
Idk, we are OOS
In-state. DS waiting on honors decision.
Received decision last night, applied OOS 10/27/24.
Received decision just now, OOS applied 1/4/25

In-state, 4.4 weighted, TO, All honor or AP. 2 sports, job, excellent essay. Mathematica major, Dietrich.
Does being accepted with a major of pre-law mean that the student was accepted into the guaranteed admissions law program? Letter doesnât specifically say that but says âan intended field of study of Pre-Lawâ and the portal has pre-law as listed major.
You might want to check his portal again. My sonâs guaranteed admissions letter (public affairs) was separate from the acceptance letter.
Our states, intended field of study of pre-medicine. I assumed major by default is undecided for these tracks. I hope someone here can confirm.
My daughter, in state , was asked to submit mid years , we uploaded those . She had a 3.49 and now has a 3.92 . Do you think we should send a letter to the admission office ? They said just uploading is a sign of continued interest but Pitt is her top choice and this admission cycle is insane . She got rejected from two other competitive schools. Pitt was always her top though.
I would follow the directions they provided. If they say not to send in any materials aside from fall grades, donât. But I donât think it can hurt for her to email her admissions rep and give them an update about her great fall grades and relay how excited she is about being considered in the RD round.
