I’m really hoping so!!
I did come across this on their FAQ page, which is comforting:
Other people have heard back and I haven’t heard back – does that mean I am not going to be admitted?
No, it does not! It is possible for some applications to take longer to process or to take longer in the Admissions Committee than others, which means that some applicants will hear back a little before others. The length of time it takes to hear back from us is not a predictor of what the outcome will be. We work hard in our office to give everyone a fair and efficient review.
I wonder where everyone who has heard back already is from. Since there are regional reviewers, maybe some are faster than others. I’m guessing there’s more volume in certain locations in the Northeast too.
That’s a good point! We are in the Pittsburgh area.
Does anyone recall from prior years whether decisions (for nursing, in particular – but even in general) trickle out daily? Or are there big releases, like once or twice a week?
its seems to be this year 7:15pm mon-friday
Near philly
fingers crossed for all of the early august application kiddos still waiting to hear back, maybe tonight will be their night!
Anyone waiting on Engineering?
nope, but I hope Dietrich comes today for me!
Has anyone received an email from pitt yet?
Nope
Nope! Sigh…on to next week!
Nothing.
No, but I really wasn’t expecting anything tonight. Seems like last night was the big night for nursing, and we will be waiting a bit longer (app complete date 8/19).
Don’t think anything tmr?
Admitted (9/18 4:23 PDT) to School of Computing and Information with guaranteed admission to Master of Science in Information Science. I sincerely appreciate all the valuable information in this thread and CC!
Another day of nothing
sadly maybe tmr
Do anyone know whether honors college/merit scholarships come with the admission offer or after? Thanks for any information in advance.
Also, not sure if helpful, but some basic stats/info: OOS(WA), Pitt App submitted 8/8, under review 8/15; 3.92 UW, 17 AP by graduation, 1540 SAT, decent ECs including research publications, but horrible essay (I sent in a rough, first draft). Demonstrated interest by attending info sessions.
