So ED was originally Dec 15th
and that week, we got an email that told us it would be December 13th.That is the approximate.

Have any of the nominations for Richmond Scholars come out yet?

It looks like last year there were some portal changes that may have indicated scholars. There was a message that said “your application is being considered for Richmond scholars”. For some it changed to “will be considered”. That is what D25’s portal says now, but I have no idea if it always said that. Apparently, if that message disappeared entirely, it was an indication of being considered for scholars (or something like that). This is all from last year’s college confidential thread for anyone who wants more details than I have

I went back to check last year’s thread and I think that it was the Wednesday before decisions when people started to discuss that message disappearing. I would never have noticed a change from “is being considered” to “will be considered” so I have no idea if that’s a change this year or not

I feel like I scoured that thread for all the hints leading up to ED1
I don’t know if there is much hope for my son getting any merit. He is getting a big financial aid package

Were you accepted ED already and it still says being considered? If so, where does it say that?

I’m EA, and I submitted a music portfolio for consideration

My son’s counselor uploaded his mid year grades because another school requested them. On his Spider portal, it shows that Richmond downloaded his mid year grades on 1/16/2025. I assume that is too late to affect his EA decision. Does Richmond request mid year grades for EA deferred students?

Daughters also says “will be considered”- I feel like that’s what everyone’s says? Also mid-year grades downloaded 1/16. I don’t think that’s too late for consideration! Obviously they are still processing the applications or else they’d have released decisions already

The change/disappearance of the scholars message was the only possible portal astrology I found in last years thread, and I’m not even sure what held true. I guess we will see if anyone’s message disappears in the next few days. Also, it seems like last year they sent an email on either Tuesday or Wednesday announcing a Friday decision date. So hoping to see that email soon!

My students says the 26th as well.

The website says January 24, but the student portal says the 26th. Expecting a deferral because UR takes such a small percentage from the EA round, so a day or two doesn’t much matter over in this household

What makes you say Richmond only accepts a small percentage during EA? According to this page on the school website, they state that they typically accept 37% percent of their class.
