JV1973 and spoonful1, you are both correct. Richmond accepts EA applicants to make up 37% of the incoming class per their website, but only 20% of the 2028 enrolled class came from the accepted EA applicants. Probably because a lot of EA accepted students went to other schools in 2028.

Well no changes in S25’s portal and mid-year grades were submitted 1/15 and NOT downloaded, so maybe he should expect a rejection.

Only because it seems like everyone else’s grades have been downloaded. Honestly, he’s not expecting much from Richmond as far as merit anyway so we’ve kind of put it to the side. It was initially his favorite school though so I do hope for an acceptance for him.

That could also mean an acceptance; I’d think that they wouldn’t need more information if they already accepted him

Were first quarter grades sent and downloaded? First semester hasn’t even ended at D25’s school so can’t be considered for EA

Yes, 1st quarter grades were downloaded in late October but it seems like a few posters further up the thread did submit midyear grades recently that were downloaded. S25’s were not.

I can add that they downloaded mine (submitted on 1/20) yesterday.

It could be a timing thing. Maybe their grades were received before their app was reviewed? Or like someone said, maybe it’s a good sign. I don’t think you can read into that at all. GL to all of us and our kids!

I follow The College Navigators on Instagram and she’s posted that it’s confirmed for Friday. I assume she’s reliable!

Re: midyear grades - my student received an email the first week of December asking for her to submit her midyear grades. It said that she could even take a photo of her school’s grading portal and submit that. Did anyone else receive that email? They downloaded the grades immediately after she submitted them.

My son received the same email and appeared on his portal right away.
