OOS here - and USC is heavily recruiting top students in northern states. They’re hosting dinners at steak resteraunts in other/ northern states as part of increasing their Carolina Capstone program. (We never would have applied otherwise) These are kids with multiple scholarship offers all over the country who are shopping merit

Does anyone know when honors decisions will come out of in state or out of state?
My daughter got deferred from COC yesterday so I’m not very optimistic at this point. OOS and she’s a legacy because I graduated from there, but they don’t consider that. I wish they did. Clemson does.
They have always recruited heavily from the north east. I graduated 39 years ago. I’m from Columbia, but the vast majority of my college friends were from the Northeast
Virginia Tech no longer considers Legacy either which is unfortunate for my son as Im a Hokie. But I can say, I never really heard from anyone that it made a positive difference anyway.
