People are less likely to post deferrals.

Did your letter mention merit? My D24 was also accepted to Education. No mention of merit in her letter.

Son accepted to Sports Management Program.
OOS, TO, 3.78UW, 4.4W, 9APs and strong ECs with a lot of leadership.
Was deferred from Clemson, UGA and Auburn!

Can acceptance posters also state when providing stats whether USC is first, second or third choice and/or if they are likely to attend? That would be great.

The only kids that got in that I know have USC has third or worse choice. Safety. High stat kid who now is in at GA and other schools

My 2023 did this last year with a few schools and accidentally applied regular decision. She noticed in October and called USC and asked to be considered for EA and they would not budge. Yet another school emailed her and said “you selected regular decision, did you want us to move you to EA.” Ironically that’s the school she choose. And even though I have a junior at USC and she loved it, it didn’t sit right with me and was happy my second choose that school that was a bit smaller.

Yes

will be declining as DD24 got into her ED that just came out after USC

S24 did not have any merit mentioned in his letter either.

It’s definitely a top choice for my daughter. We are from PA and she wants to go somewhere warmer than home. I can’t say the exact ranking because she doesn’t know yet herself.

Deferred and heartbroken. OOS. She’s a legacy (but doesn’t get credit for it) and a minority which no longer means anything starting with this class going forward.

Were there any rejections?

OOS Accepted with in-state tuition scholarship. This is our backup safety. Depending other school options, likely won’t be coming to SC. It’s a little far for us.

It’s maybe in my top 15-20 that I applied to.

OOS accepted into Biological Sciences 4.3 Weighted, 10 APs, Strong ECs, Sports Captain and has held down a part time job for 3 years. Did not receive Merit (somewhat surprised but SAT of 1300 and in hindsight she probably should not have submitted).

Accepted into LSU, Auburn and Bama with Merit along with App State
Deferred from Clemson and Georgia (top choice)
Awaiting TN and NCSU and FAAAAARRRR in your dreams reaches like Texas, FL and UNC

Originally a safety but we are happy about proximity to home in CLT.

UF is not a super crazy reach with these stats.

Got in OOS for Computer Science with in-state tuition rate. 4.4 GPA, 36 ACT. They’re deferring a lot of people who are qualified in other areas, EA just autoadmits students with good stats.

Thats not accurate for all states. In VA, its all 4 point scale no matter weighted or unweighted
