They officially don’t release merit until March. We are in CLT area as well and no mention of merit.

DS24 OOS - northeast. Accepted to Darla Moore for Economics GPA 3.81 UW SAT 1400 5 APs, 16 Honors, Leadership positions, Work, volunteering, 1 sport. At least 5 of his friends got deferred and 1 got in. Got a merit scholarship. USC is choice 1-b for him so we are excited. We won’t know 1-a until next month! He got deferred from Georgia.
I think to get merit out of state you have to have certain test scores.

We did the NPC on the UofSC website and there is an option where you say if you are submitting scores or not. I know it’s just an estimate, but it came back with some merit. Just hoping for a little

OOS, deferred here. Not really upset at all - he’s already accepted at PSU UP, Pitt, and UDel. he already said not interested in USC anymore as these other three are higher on his list.

Out of state admissions are unpredictable for many and it depends on major.
D24 deferred. Accepted Clemson (business) , Kelly school (Indiana) and Carlson school of biz (Minnesota) go figure.

Deferred at Auburn- however we know why and would not have applied- they are not test optional despite what common app said, they are test preferred so we did not send test scores 
We however, will be declining from all but Clemson. Daughter IMMEDIATELY clicked accept offer and enroll in Clemson lol. I knew it was her #1 and regardless if they don’t offer a dime and I’m sure they won’t she does not care she has wanted Clemson her whole life. Hopefully us going in to decline will free up some funds and spots for kids that want these other schools!

My son got into USC for business tonight and deferred at Clemson too.
Wait!! They already gave you scholarship info?
I think if you were able to get in USC, you will probably get undeferred quite easily at Clemson.

Yes! If you are getting a scholarship then the email would say something about it- ours said at least $40k
