It was 2 years ago. My daughter is a junior at UTampa, and her class was the one where some kids who had enrolled were told they were waitlisted for on campus housing. Was a huge mess. With that said, we’ve had no issues with the school since she’s been there. My advice to all would be to stay patient and perhaps send an email indicating that UT is a top choice and that the wait is starting to lower your opinion of the school. Maybe that would get things moving.

We visited last April, was told it would take @ 6 weeks for decision. Applied in mid Oct.

Thank you! Yes, my daughter definitely has it listed as a top choice. Just seems strange for a privates school to be so hands off and lack communication! If we don’t hear by Feb, I will definitely take your advice!!

Agree. Advisor was not very helpful or nice. Gives you an idea for what you may be in for. Had amazing experiences at other colleges -and also not sure why the date keeps being moved back for acceptance info.
When I called they said EA decisions would be out by the end of Feb- 6 more weeks - but that housing is first come. So the ED students will already have been enrolled in housing. Risky game…they may find lower yield on EA accepts

I just don’t understand how that is considered EA! End of feb?? So basically if you are a regular decision student you won’t be getting housing by that point. So disappointing they did it this way…

D24 received an email today saying that her decision was ready. Her portal shows accepted (yay), but the acceptance letter says “not available” so we have no idea about Merit yet.

Has anyone gotten a letter with their cost, i.e. merit? We did get the second email to log in to Workday but the links mentioned to find your aid are not extant -??
Same here. My daughter got logged in to the fin aid portal, but there is not a link with any information. Hopefully soon.

Daughter’s portal just changed blank for fall 2024 and added a spring 2025 term. Do you think that means she’s not accepted for fall? It’ll break her heart. Half her friends at school with lower stats (some much lower) but applied in August instead of October were accepted in that rollout last week. Still keeping the faith. Anyone else see that switch?
Mine too and yes he was admitted for the Spring only.
Yes, my daughter was wait listed as well and accepted for Spring. I’m assuming it is because the newer housing will be built by then. Very disappointed here in PA
