So this should be interesting - I sent a message to my AC right after I saw all the stuff about the portal - I just asked - do they all come out at once, or do they sort of trickle out… told him some people seem to be having some portal activity… he really was persistent that there is NO way that anyone’s portal updated today and it’s not true…

I kept telling him I like really didnt mind i just didn’t want to keep checking the portal if they do them in spurts. he went on and on and on saying please don’t think you were deferred or denied. this information is NOT right. So… I have to be honest - if I now get deferred or denied - kinda dont think i like how they do that to people…

That’s so upsetting. I also have the SRAR message and pretty sure I’m getting deferred. I wish they’d just be upfront about it instead of giving false hope.
I know - I was like trying to calm this guy down - some people even had pictures - like what is the big deal. I told him, it’s fine just not the question was because also I was concerned something was up with my SRAR because it kept showing the update option. He assured me that I am absolutely in that group and even sent another email to say please dont pay attention to it…
So,… either they threaten to fire these guys if it gets out or something but he could have just let it go - say no not yet… soon! or something like the other places do - i just got back on here so got to catch up! anyone else have some weird chats like this today??

I know! its like - we get it - it happens - I am not going to throw a fit - plus I just asked and kept saying - I just wanted to know if its a one shot or you “start” releasing on a certain day.
So either they are really trying to play a game which is not really the vibe i thought or this kid is not in the “in” group and no one is telling him anything 
So now when i get deferred - or worse - m gonna call him and cry… ahhah

I would absolutely lol. It just sucks because I was really hoping it wasn’t a tell, and I was led to believe it wasn’t by literally every rep I spoke with.

Deferred - lists things you can do if you want to further their search. First semester grades , letters etc
Deny - obvious

I think it is safe to say if you have/had the update SSAR button, you will be deferred.

That’s not even possible. We have not released any out-of-state decisions or most in-state decisions outside of special populations. College Confidential isn’t reputable
