Has anyone had any experience with the theater program at University of the Arts?
Is it good? Difficult to get into as an Acting major?

If you do a search of this forum, you can find many posts about University of the Arts.

The acting program requires auditions for admission. All auditioned BFA theatre programs are hard to get into.

I’m actually a Freshman Acting major right now at UArts. I personally love the program, lots opportunities, great training, amazing connections, etc. As NJTheatreMOM said, there are lots of posts on here with info about the school (some from me actually). Acceptance-wise…it is very competitive. Our class this year has I think about 28 students, and I heard that anywhere from 600-1000 audition on any given year, although that is just a word-of-mouth number. I’m sure you could call the theatre office, and they might know the actual acceptance rate.

Feel free to post more questions here, or PM me! I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you have relating to UArts!

Thanks!
Were you accepted into other programs? Did you have a safety?

Yes, besides UArts I got into Hartt, Elon, U Michigan, Marymount Manhattan (BA double concentration in Theatre Performance and Directing), Rutgers (BA), U Minnesota (BA), and Indiana University (BA). IU was my fallback because academically I knew I would easily get in (with a large scholarship), and it is a non-auditioned acting program. I’d recommend EVERYONE who is applying and auditioning for schools to have at least one non-auditioned safety school that they apply to as well.
