Actually DeanJ said on her live today that they did not take that many off the wait list (think it was 77) so I don’t think that would move the yield needle that much.
Just checked the portal. ‘Withdraw application’ is gone. The page is very much empty, only ‘upload’ still remains. Is it the same for you all?

Does anyone know if financial aid packages will be available with decisions for accepted students? Or will they be delayed because the FAFSA is late

Just seeing some of the recent comments and thought I’d chime in…
Admission Stats - Remember that this year doesn’t have a defer review. You can’t really compare last year to this year because the process has changed.
Waitling Stats - Waiting list stats going back seven years are on the website. I was mistaken during the live yesterday…last year was a good year for WL offers! I was thinking of the year prior. My apologies…I’m a little sleep deprived this week! 
Portal Changes - The changes are normal. It isn’t a sign of a decision. Just our technical team preparing for tonight’s release.
Financial Aid - Remember that we are a CSS Profile school. Student Financial Services has already posted many packages for the Early Decision round. They’ll obviously need the FAFSA to finalize everything, but we’re lucky they can do their preliminary work with the CSS Profile. Their office has been posting updates on their website and instagram if you want to stay up to date with their process!

How does status for the Jefferson Scholarship affect UVA general admissions, if at all?

My daughyer made it through 2nd round of semifinalist for walenta however didnt not get 3rd interview for March1 also wondering if it has something to do with acceptance for EA
The Jefferson Scholars Foundation is independent and they don’t have access to our system. They don’t know the results of our review.

. With regard to EA decisions, are there only two choices, Accepted or rejected?

There is a waitlist option according to the website I think that will be used during EA this year. They used to have waitlist only for RD, but not anymore because they got rid of defer. Does anyone know why the selective public schools are no longer deferring. I know UNC stopped doing this as well recently.
