I have already received an A.S. in Psychology Specialization from NVCC and a B.S. in Psychology from GMU. I would like to get a second Associates degree to transfer directly into University of Virginia’s School of Engineering. I wanted to clarify a stipulation concerning guaranteed admission for this program. It says you must “earn a C or better in every VCCS course taken, with the exception that the grade in the following courses must be a B or better: English 111, and all Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry courses.” I read from a couple other sources, the math classes being referred are “Calculus” based classes. I took Finite Math I and II and received a ‘C’ in both classes for my first Associates degree. Does this count as a ‘C’ for the math classes that must be at least a ‘B’? Does it not even matter now if I do get a B or above in all other Math, Physics, and Chemistry classes? Am I no longer eligible for guaranteed admission?

Call the e-school admissions office, or shoot them an email (usually a quick response). The ladies in the undergrad office are super nice and can answer this with 100% accuracy
