University of Washington Class of 2029 Official RD Thread

They don’t look at weighted. They barely look at test scores - per the AO, they only look if someone is borderline for uw gpa.

Yeah, her unweighted is 4.0 :woman_shrugging:t2:

Yeah, that’s brutal. There’s an appeal process, but it’s a long painful wait with absolutely zero guaranteed. Very sorry.

That’s right, but DD is devastated and crying non stop. She was ready to give up her direct admits at some great schools, and be a pre-major at UW.
She just wanted to stay close to us.
It’s all very emotional at the moment, and I hope better sense will prevail in a few days!

Heartiest congratulations to all who got in, especially in-state applicants.. we know what it means!

Waitlisted in state engineering. I’m not sure but think he applied to civil eng. IB courses, robotics, good grades. He applied for the wait list. One of his friends was admitted last year off wait list to engineering and is there now. He has an acceptance to Portland State college of engineering so will put a deposit down.

Very good, but maybe not great ECs (how do you know?): 11 varsity letters, captain of 2 teams, president of a small club, lots of volunteering

Do you have to sign up for admitted student days or just show up? I can’t find where to register.
