Has anyone received honors notification, do we know when that might come?

Waitlisted OOS Business.

3.9 UW GPA
National Merit Finalist
36 ACT (they don’t look)

Kid is fine. It wasn’t a top choice. Won’t accept the waitlist spot.

This too shall pass, so they say.

I remember your ID and OR1 from UIUC board, your DD will do fine, she has great choices.

My kid got into UWASH CS with some scholarship, after a big COLA surprise from UT Austin, I was almost ready to send him to TAMU if his luck is not there, still waiting to hear from Berkeley and CMU.

Are you international? What curriculum is that?

FWIW hearing many at our school were waitlisted. Guessing she might find she is in great company at school today.

They pull a lot of students off the wait list! Last year, they admitted almost 3k from the list. Definitely worth hanging in there!

For those willing to share the dollar amount of their purple and gold scholarships it’s helpful. I believe we’ve seen $3,000 and $4,200 so far this year. There were some in $7-8k range in prior years.

For background, the purple and gold scholarship is only for out-of-state students. It’s a small merit scholarship to (slightly) offset the much higher out-of-state tuition. $43,000 for out-of-state tuition vs. $13,000 for in-state.

Yeah, only $3000 for Purple and Gold here. I’ve been reading it’s been going down. Since she got into Davis (in state) it’s going to be hard to justify the extra expense. Her cousin went to Udub on a basketball scholarship, it’s near to my heart, but we’ll have to see.

I also got $3000 a year for my P&G scholarship.

Getting in-state at UW or at a great UC school is like winning a golden ticket. $100k+ savings (for those who don’t qualify for financial aid).

Hard to pass up in-state either way, and part of the reason it’s so painful when it’s not an option.
