University of Wisconsin Early Action Fall 2025 Admissions

what does this mean, I have it in my diagnostic?

No, but I have this in diagnostics:

  • ismemberof:
    • uw:domain:my.wisc.edu:audiences:preparing_for_soar_access

Same. Anyone who does not?

I’m confused. Is everyone diagnostic the same, or do people have varying lines of code? if so what should I be looking for

Everyone should be the same, just wait until you get your email saying your decision is in the portal.

I personally think they stripped the diagnostics of anything that might provide portal astrology so I’m not sure if we should spend time trying to decipher the content. I think everyone has the same content. The only thing that transpired yesterday evening indicating someone’s portal showing different than the others’ was few users being able to access the Canvas while majority can’t.

Yes, they stripped portal astrology indicators from the diagnostics last year.

Yes, they stripped the following two items from diagnostic report, which were the indicators:-

uw:domain:my.wisc.edu:audiences:APPL
wiscedustudentstatus: APPL/ADMT

They have mentioned it in the report that since these attributes were used for portal astrology, and since being removed, the person troubleshooting issues should not expect to find them (remember, the real purpose of this report is to triage access issues)

Now, I’m able to see the first stripped line item in the Chrome developer tools; but I still can’t find the second one.
The theory last year was that the wiscedustudentstatus will change from APPL to ADMT for admitted students; for some it changed very close to the decision release time.

I hope some ā€œtroopersā€ can trace this wiscedustudentstatus in the Chrome developer tools.

PS: they always leave behind some trail

Man I hope so! But I have a bad feeling it’ll drag until Friday.

Since nothing yesterday, I’m now thinking ā€œnot this weekendā€ means release is on Friday. As in: ā€œnot this weekend, next weekendā€.

Hope I’m wrong and it’s earlier. Expecting UIUC Friday, too.

I feel like at best they do two batches on two days but I suspect it’s really just simple that it’s one batch on one day this week and I suspect likely Wednesday or Friday.

I feel the same, but I do wish it comes sooner… too big decisions on same day is too much to take…

I guess it depends on what they are…

We’ve done the best we could, i just want to be put out of my misery.

Honestly, the portal stuff is amusing but not for me. I don’t even understand 99%of the codes you guys are using. I’ll just wait for the release.

That being said, if they were going to make that post last Friday…just give a date. If the date is Friday, just say so. If the releases will start Wednesday and continue through Friday, just say so. Whatever it is can be dealt with. The secrecy is just unnecessary.

Has anyone called and asked or is that a waste of time?

Someone had called last Friday (you will have to look through the messages), and they were told it could be any day between now and next Friday (go figure, what that means)

The only legit reason for not giving a date, is because you don’t know when you will release.

These things have a plan behind them, and, presumably, experienced professionals working the plan. And, they know with sufficient certainty when they will be ready to release.

I chalk the lack of transparency up to cya.

Not trying to defend Madison here (full disclosure: not an alumni, nor do I work there), but every college has their IT systems and departments setup differently. I’m sure they’d want to be precise, but it’s entirely possible their IT processes doesn’t allow them to.
It’d be easy for us to say that upgrade the systems etc, but these are difficult decisions, especially for cash strapped public institutions who have much higher priorities to deal with.
