My student will be on a service trip out of the country for the week including 1/31 when three EA schools are set to announce decisions. No phones or tech allowed on this trip. Back on 2/3. Talk about torture . . . .

Has anyone noticed a change in the number of apps in the portal? An increase or decrease? How many apps are currently available to you?

Yes. And from what I’ve read, everyone who’s applied has access to it so it isn’t any sort of clue as to an admissions decision.

No changes yet, I doubt we will see anything until late next week at the earliest, then the portal genies can figure it out.

To add to the “will they or won’t they” frenzy
 if UW releases the same day as other Big Ten then maybe it will be this coming Friday??? According to some on the Maryland EA thread, Maryland has historically done some in person admissions for a few in state kids the weekend before EA decisions come out. Two such admissions were highlighted on the Maryland admissions social media channels today. Fingers crossed it means what they suggest and UW follows suit!!!
