My guess would be they already had a recovery email put in maybe? My son did not.

how do you access the class registration part? ETA ā never mind. Found that as well. But the main applicant portal seems to be down.

There is a reported outage for the SIS system. I donāt think itās related to status updates. I wish it were!

Itās online again for me, no decision updates. Wishful thinking I suppose.
This is the torture of the damned. I wish they would just say January 31st, and if you hear earlier itās a nice surprise. Then I wouldnāt be all āIt could be any minute Iāll just check the portal again!ā

Penn State is actually the worst, they release batches every evening starting on 11/15-12/24. The portal checking was insane and the chatter on this site was maddening. One date all at once is so much better, even if contemplating exactly when it may be.

Oh man! That sounds like a nightmare!
Penn State was terrible. Every night going into the portal while hearing about acceptances and denialsā¦ my kid found out he was accepted before the email came because the portal changed to enroll in classes or something like that. Took the excitement away. His main choice is Madison so I am extremely impatient by now. Need the wait to be over.

I totally feel this. Madison and VT are tied in my house and VT decision isnāt for at least another month. My S25 is also really struggling in the social department as of late and I know that it would be so helpful mentally start to prepare for whereās heās headed next. Sigh. This too shall pass.

So is it possible that decisions come out tomorrow (1.15.25) as discussed above in this thread? And does UW usually preface the decisions release with a note on social media somewhere, or do they just drop the decisions and let applicants know via email that they are out ?

No they wonāt let you know ahead of time. And not only that, but last year the portal froze the first minute after 8 pm CT and no one could get their decisions for about an hour
They do not let you know in advance, which is so hardā¦
Are people thinking it is more likely the 24 or the 31 or something in between- which is always possible. My kidsā friends found out RD last year on a Thursday whereas in the past it was always on a Friday from what I know, so technically even though EA has been on a Friday (last of the month but this year is ambiguous since last Friday is also last day of Jan) past two years they could change that.

The wait is so hard but not knowing an oficial date is even harder. Wish they would just announce a decision day so we can all be ready. Their social media accounts have given no hint as to when they will release information. Just hope it is before the 31st. I need this process to be done!

It has been my sonās dream school his entire life, growing up son of 2 Badgers. Our heart is in Madison. The wait and not knowing when is torture. Sending postive vibes to all!!
