This is exciting! Iā€™m living vicariously thru all of you - the wait is over! Or not----if your kid was deferred. But Iā€™m here to tell you that deferred is far from a rejection. Both my kids were deferred - one high stats (a current sophomore), the other average stats (a freshman right now). Itā€™ll all work out one way or another, even if it doesnā€™t feel like it. Promise!

Feeling positive after reading the deferral FAQs in the decision letter. It states they primarily base the decision on senior year mid-term grades for deferred, and thatā€™s the primary reason to defer in the first place.
D25 absolutely crushed her senior year fall semester with straight As in all 7 IB courses.

Denied here as well. OOS - 4.3 WGPA. Did not submit test scores. Lots of ECs and awards/honors, lots of volunteer hours, part time job, etc. Knew it would be a reach, but still thought he had a chance. Oh well, wasnā€™t meant to be!

I feel exactly the same here, for same reason and similar but different circumstances.

Straight As, Rigorous courses, major ECs follow-through, and some great acceptances in our back pocketā€¦ appreciate the opportunity to compete in next round.
