Thanks for the CDS update. So they admitted 6% of applicants who stayed on the waitlist.
Good information, but based on how much the waitlist acceptance rate has fluctuated, it’s not necessarily predictive of this year’s rate.

I honestly think there will be a lot of waitlist offers this year bc so many kids applied to so many schools and they can only choose one. I’ve already heard of schools accepting off the waitlist and it’s only late March/early April.
You might be right but we thought that would be the case last year too.
I talked to the Dean of the Business School yesterday while I was on campus. There was over 12,000 applicants to the B school for only 650 slots. That is just over a 5% acceptance rate. Very competitive!
Not necessarily…especially when comparing two schools of vastly different sizes. A school looking to fill 10,000 seats and a school looking to fill 750 seats will have different admissions rates for reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of the school.
I’m sure they accepted more than 650 knowing not all would accept which would make the acceptance rate higher
If they accepted 50% more than the slots available it pushes it to 8.12% which is still a very low acceptance rate
Madison has a yield of about 30%, so I’d expect them to have admitted around 1800; still very low admit rate. Not that off from a school like Ross.
Waitlist update requests were emailed out today. Simple yes or no response required indicating if still interested if space allows!
I’m just curious. Did anyone receive any letters of acceptance/decision in the mail from Wisconsin? My daughter got in (EA), but I don’t think we got anything in the mail so far. All other places she got in (similar rankings) sent official decision letters, letters from College of Engineering with info, stickers, even hand written notes from currents students to encourage choosing them. It looks like they don’t care.
We received an envelope with stickers.
We received envelope with letter and stickers. Perhaps your daughter’s was lost in SNAIL mail.
That’s good to know. Thanks. Maybe ours indeed got lost on the way.
