Unlikely appeal tips

Hello I am trying to get into ap english which is harder than it should be for quite a few reasons. First off i appealed to my principle to get into ap chem and they said how my attitude in school was different and it worked i got in. The fact i was taking no other ap’s and had an A course average probably didn’t hurt.

Now for the issues:
My school works on a point system to get into the class I have zero points.
My quarter grades for English last year in order were: C C+ C+ B- Course Average C+
My final exam grade was 84
I didn’t follow the proper procedure

So I was wondering is it worth appealing? I am in the Cambridge english program but would rather be in ap english. I was thinking of saying the generic I had a change of heart. I could also mention my average steadily goes up. I think it doesn’t hurt to ask but my parents think it might not be a good idea since I was lucky to even get into chem. So I guess my question is should I bother appealing and if so what should i say or what approach should I take.

Thanks in advance for any responses I really do want to take ap english but, I doubt I will be able to.

Is this the wrong section to post this? Any advice would be helpful I realize just how much I messed up now.
