@Yvask95 Shouldn’t the major be more specific than “Pre-Engineering” if I was given DA?
My transcript hasn’t loaded and I haven’t gotten a letter. I have good stats and wrote bomb essays! I live in Cali, so what I’m thinking is they are sending out the transcripts as well as the letters in batches. So I’m not gonna give up hope just yet cause I know people that have gotten in but transcript still hasn’t loaded!
Does anyone know if your major being listed as “Computer Science” on your unofficial transcript is an indication of being accepted DA?
Hey Guys, thanks for all the info. I’ve been nervously watching this thread for a couple days and just made an account. From what I’ve seen and can infer so far, it only looks like the extremely qualified have had their transcripts load. there have been two at my school and their stats are around 4.2 gpa with ~1900 sat. It hasnt loaded for me (3.4 gpa, 2190 sat, hella ecs) or any of my other decently-qualified friends. i’m trying not to worry, i dont even think i’d call the transcript not loading an indicator of a rejection. best of luck to you guys
@schoolisgood No. I’d say what’s written is correct. You probably have to take prerequisites to get into Engineering. Therefore, you’re in pre-engineering. I’m about 75% sure of that .-.
My transcript loads does that actually mean i am in or is that just speculation?
so far everyone I’ve talked to has had their transcript load but no one has gotten anything in the mail. we all live in the SF bay area
@twhitte i’m pretty damn sure it does, mind posting stats?
@petersja
GPA weighted: 4.03
GPA unweighted: 3.81
ACT 33
Math 31
Reading 36
science 34
Writing 10
I’ve taken 2 honors and 4 AP’s
It looks like the letters are sent out by zip code everybody that got a letter today was in the portland/Oregon area
@HomeInNevada that was probably just the first batch finishing its course… I don’t think we’ll be able to pin point a specific pattern
@uwhusky1997 That is incredibly depressing. With my luck, I’ll be part of the last batch to send out lol
@HomeInNevada I think the first batch was washington/oregon acceptences specifically… Maybe the next couple batches will be a mix of waitlists/rejections/acceptances for any states/countries. But like I said, we’ll honestly never know!
As for you- don’t worry about the unofficial transcript being a fluke. If you see it, you’re in… so congrats!!
@twhitte yeah i think you’re one of those overly qualified people i mentioned before haha. from what i’ve seen, no decently-qualified or borderline people, aka me (3.4, 2190, 6 aps), have had their transcripts load. either way congrats
@uwhusky1997 So nerve wracking! Hopefully the next batch will be sent out ASAP! I’m dying to have one envelope either way it goes lol. ( I rush my 30 minutes home after school everyday to check the mailbox lol) Thank you! Hopefully I truly am in!!!
Well if they were sent to Portland, Oregon, maybe they’ll be moving south to good ole Cali soon. I reallllly hope I receive my letter tomorrow. I wonder if your transcript loads, if that is an indicator that your letter is currently on the way…hmm. Patience is a virtue that I do not have ;
Does anyone think letters for people who haven’t received their unofficial transcript will receive a letter this week?
(in cali)
@petersja My transcript loaded Monday night, I live in Seattle about 2 miles from UW, and have not gotten a letter yet. I’m not an overly qualified candidate, so I have no idea if my transcript loading means anything at all. But, I’m proof that people without stellar stats have had transcripts load. A friend of mine in my zip code already received a letter, so presumably if batches are sent by postal code, I would have received it by now. I’m starting to think that I’ll be waitlisted or rejected … since so many in the Seattle area have already heard.
Here are my “so so” stats. BTW, your GPA is middling, but your SAT score is really strong!!!
GPA (UW): 3.78
SAT: 1760
Including senior year, I’ve taken 6 honors & 4 APs. My ECs are excellent and I think my essays were very solid. But I’m a pretty average candidate … yet my transcript loaded. I’m concerned it means nothing.

Do I have a good chance at getting in to the UW? It’s my dream school. I’ve also attended several conferences at their school during the summer.
So I had a course at the UW before, and I checked my unofficial transcript and it says Major: Non Matriculated Class: Non-Matric Status: No Longer Enrolled (Last Qtr Autumn 2013)
It still has my UW GPA and everything(SAT scores, etc), it just says I’m no longer enrolled? My friends have their majors and everything listed… So did I just not get in? Or did the fact that my previous courses at the UW affect the display of my unoffocial transcript?
@pchristian90 Unfortunately, if the SAT you reported is the combination of Reading, Math and Writing, I am sorry to say that you may not have a high chance to be accepted into the school as the average SAT last year was at least 1800. While it does not automatically mean you will be rejected, but be prepared for the worst
