Yes exactly… ivs can make hands swollen so not uncommon to take the rings off on the IV hand, especially for recurring /chronic infusions. And most people pick the non-dominant hand for more chronic infusions.

Editing my comment. I can see what they are talking about with the sleeve of Charlotte’s sweater. That is a bad job of Photoshopping, but I guess that might not be one of William’s skills. They might not have a Photoshop pro on the staff.

I’m not sure, but I think it might be the angle of the sweater vs the angle of the wrist/hand.

But if they didn’t want to show her hands why not just take a photo where her hands are behind the kids backs? They could be leaning against her. Why would someone take this one and then photoshop it to alter the hands? I’ve been going through numerous photos of my kids from when they were younger. I looked at one and wondered who the kid on the left was. It was my son. The angle and lighting and his position made it look very different than his usual look.
Like everyone else, I believe nothing about photographs these days but the photo and then accusations don’t make sense to me. And I increasingly feel very sorry for Kate that this is happening to her while she’s trying to recover and be a mom.

It looks like the index finger on her left hand is way too short. If you compare it to other photos of her hands, there is a noticeable difference. Plus there’s no engagement ring. I’m also skeptical of the skinny jeans. I don’t think it’s something someone who is recovering from abdominal surgery would wear, regardless of whether or not they are in style. Perhaps they photoshopped her face on someone else’s body. I don’t understand why the palace would go to such lengths and really hope she is doing ok.
I wondered if the jeans were a maternity style with a big cutout in the front? The wrist and sleeve of Charlotte’s left hand is definitely off, and I think Louis’ middle finger looks off size, but that may just be an angle.
I can’t believe they didn’t have some twenty-something girl somewhere in the vicinity who could have edited a photo with her eyes shut.

My first thought was that she looks hunched over, like she has the jeans on but not zipped up and a shirt hanging over the front and shadowed. It looks very strategically posed and not natural.
My second thought is that she has very pretty teeth!

I can’t even understand how the Palace lets a photoshopped (or AI generated) picture out. Talk about stoking the conspiracy theories, and embarrassing that many news agencies took the same action to kill the picture.

Wow that’s small detail! I caught the wonky hand thing but missed this. I had a tangential thought seeing all these photo “oops”. We should start a thread on movie editing snafus. Its kinda fun to catch those.

Several major news agencies have withdrawn an image distributed by Kensington Palace showing Catherine, Princess of Wales, and her children, saying they believe the photo has been manipulated.
The Associated Press noted that “at closer inspection it appears that the source has manipulated the image.”
AFP said it had withdrawn the photo due to “an editorial issue.” The image “may no longer be used in any manner. Please immediately remove it from all your online services,” AFP said.

Wasn’t one of their other photos photoshopped? I can’t remember which event, but I think the photoshop had something to do with one of the boys’ hands.

Twitter world is mentioning the photo with Queen Elizabeth and all the grandchildren as being the culprit of photoshop.
I hope everything is okay with Kate, but just have to say that I am amazed that the palace’s PR people are so consistently bad at doing their job. This all seems quite amateurish.

Instead of satisfying a curious public, they have now just stoked the fires. I would love to be a fly on the wall in their publicists’ offices as they try to do damage control over this!

Whatever they tried to do, it’s unfortunate it couldn’t have been done properly, especially since they knew so many would be scrutinizing the photo.
